Trips interests and travel styles vary across individuals. To this extent, we try to off as much information about each vacation as possible in our marketing material.  Should our description not address all your questions, feel free to contact us.

Transportation

Transportation varies with each type of trips. Typically, all land transportation will within standard air-conditioning equipped motor coaches. Some coaches will have video systems, others won’t. Unless stated otherwise, there will be ample storage room and panoramic windows that give you a great view of the scenery as we drive by.

Airline transportation will either be arranged by yourself, or through our partner agencies.  Prices will be quoted for coach seats and be with a reputable airline carrier that offers regular flights to our destination city.

All other transportation such as ferries, trolleys, trams, trains, etc will be region specific and therefore

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted on the coaches. Frequent stops are made when you can smoke freely.

Health and Hygiene

Life on any travel adventure can test the limits of your health. Differences in air, water and food can reduce your body’s resistance to illness. While you must act as your own personal physician, drinking bottled water, taking vitamins (our personal favorite – Airborne!), and sticking with known dishes and thoroughly cooked foods will usually keep you safe.

If you take any medication regularly, please bring it with you as the countries you are traveling in may not have them readily available. Everyday medications such as aspirin are not carried on the coach and are your own responsibility. Any customer found using illegal drugs will immediately be asked to leave the tour.

Budgeting

How lavishly you choose to spend during the trip for shopping, meals, entertainment, drinks and optional excursions are up to your own discretion. A fair budget would be about USD$60 a day which should keep your stomach content and your camera full of great pictures.  Don’t forget your credit card (the exchange rates with your credit card companies are very competitive) traveler’s cheques just to be safe.

Optional Excursions

Many activities are included in the tour price, but to help you budget and choose activities you like to do, we offer a variety of exciting optional excursions to choose from. Optional Excursions include group dinners, adventure sports, theatre, and much more. Check your itinerary for what Optional Excursions will be offered on your tour. Also, please keep in mind that credit card is not always accepted as payment for most Optional Excursions.

Tipping

Tipping has become an increasingly accepted practice in all areas of the service industry, but particularly in restaurants, bars and taxis worldwide. On land-based trips where we’ve hired a Tour Manager and Driver,

Also, if you’ve been happy with your Tour Manager and Driver, you are welcome to show your appreciation by tipping them the recommended amount of USD$5 per day.
